PERFORMANCES FOR CHILDREN:
"SONGS TO GET ALONG" Elementary School Assembly:
Dealing with conflict in a non-violent and peaceful way is one of the most important lessons that parents and educators can teach children.
“Songs to Get Along” offers ideas and songs in a fun and educational way that reinforces the idea that all of us can deal with conflict in a peaceful way.
Please consider having Todd visit your school for a musical performance that includes songs and stories that encourage non-violent solutions. This 45 minute school assembly includes songs and stories that speak of being kind to one another, ways to deal with anger, how each one of us can be a peacemaker, and loving ourselves the way we are, etc
To facilitate more interest, involvement and learning on the part of the children, Todd asks that the children learn a few of his songs prior to his arrival.
Todd is also willing to suggest other ways that the school could prepare for his performance by talking about conflict resolution, learning about peacemakers in their own community, creating an art project that reflects each child’s commitment to non-violence, etc.
"CHARACTER COUNTS" Elementary School Assembly:
A forty five minute elementary music assembly that is full of songs that describe how each of us can live a life of good character (Based on the seven pillars of character). Songs such as "I Can Help", "Be Fair", "What I Learn Today", "We Can Bully Proof our School", etc. "Pogo" the monster puppet briefly joins Todd on stage for some fun and laughs.
MUSIC FOR PRE-SCHOOLERS:
Of course you can't forget those little ones who love to sing, dance and giggle. Todd offers fun and interactive musical presentations for pre-school aged children.
FAMILY CONCERT:
Songs and fun for the entire family. Come prepared to sing! It’s a great way to bring families together to have fun, learn, and celebrate the gifts we all have. Family concerts can be offered the same day of the school assembly (at a substantially reduced cost).
ARTIST IN RESIDENCE PROGRAM:
Todd also offers an artist in residence program that helps children cooperatively write and record songs with Todd about a topic of your choosing. Not only do the kids write their own song, Todd puts a variety of instruments to it, has the children sing along on their song, and places the song(s) on a CD for each child to have. Contact Todd for more information. Also, if you'd like a sample CD from a past artist in residence experience, e-mail Todd and he'll send you one.
THE FEE
The fee for school assemblies is $ 290.00, plus some travel expenses. (Travel fees are different for bookings out of Wisconsin) If more than one school or event in the area can be booked for the same day (cooperative booking), the cost for each performance would be reduced. Schools could then share the mileage costs too! Call or e-mail Todd to find out what other performances might be. Todd takes in to consideration smaller venues and budgets.
